James D. Brubaker
James D. Brubaker is an integral part of the Moving Pictures team. He is an American film producer, executive producer and works in production management. Brubaker was born in Hollywood, his career spans over 50 years with a record of delivering studio films within budget and grossing over and above expected revenues for the studios. His films have made 400% – 500% revenues above the budgets, he has a special skill of identifying and producing successful projects that have market appeal and are worldwide blockbuster successes, with a skill to produce film brands and sequels that are as successful as the first and second films. James brings longevity to films in both entertainment for audiences and worldwide sales.
He acted during his career for a period as president of Universal Pictures USA, an independent producer and is now acting as Executive Producer with the Moving Pictures Media team on all our productions.
Brubaker had won the 1999 Directors Guild of America Award (DGA) for the film he produced called Gia, staring Angelina Jolie. Brubaker was also nominated for the 1998 Primetime Emmy Award for the television movie Gia. Some of Brubaker’s notable films include, Chef, staring/directed by Jon Favreau, Bruce Almighty, Nutty Professor, Liar Liar, A Walk in the clouds, D2: The Mighty Ducks, Rocky IV/III, Raging Bull, Staying Alive and True Confessions.
