Tim Grohne

Tim. Grohne is a highly motivated entertainment Executive with over 25 years’ experience in the film & television industry, working across sales, marketing, acquisitions and distribution. Founded and ran Primal Screen, a pan-European distribution venture specialising in branded children’s entertainment which has signed licensing deals with companies such as Hasbro Studios and Rainbow Entertainment. Also owner of Enchanted Animation, an ‘all rights’ feature film distribution business.

Previously at sales and financing company IM Global, since its inception in 2007. During this time the company grew to become one of the top five independent companies to operate in this space, deploying over $200m into production finance including SAFE (Jason Statham), DREDD 3D (Carl Urban), WALKING WITH DINOSAURS 3D (BBC Worldwide), ENCHANTED KINGDOM (BBC Worldwide), BULLET TO THE HEAD (Silvester Stallone). Tim was the only Executive to be based in Europe during this time, strong relationships were developed amongst the leading European finance, production and distribution businesses including broadcasters such as BBC Films, Film4, funding institutions such as the BFI (formerly the Film Council) and distribution companies such as Metropolitan in France and Constantin in Germany.

This Executive has extensive knowledge of worldwide film distribution, including the key markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
